Jens Schwenderling studied physics at the RWTH Aachen University focusing on semiconductor nanoelectronics and was a scholarship holder of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. During his master thesis he went to the USA and stayed at the University of Pittsburgh for research purposes. He took his first practical steps during his studies at the Research Centre Jülich and the research department of Volkswagen. During his time as a student, Jens Schwenderling received several awards from the RWTH and received his master’s degree "with merit".

Jens Schwenderling has been an employee at KEENWAY since 2015. In 2019, at the age of 28, he was admitted to practice as a patent attorney, making him one of the youngest German patent attorneys. This was followed by admission as a European trademark and design attorney and in July 2019 as a European patent attorney.

The focus of his work is the representation of his clients as a European Patent Attorney before the European Patent Office. He also acts for his clients before the German Patent and Trademark Office, the Federal Patent Court and in patent infringement proceedings before the common courts. To obtain patents Jens Schwenderling works together with foreign colleagues in the USA, China, Japan and India.
